Adjunct Design Professor | 08.17 - Present

At Brandcenter, I teach a 1st year graduate level course focusing on understanding how humans communicate with humans and work to translate how those principles might apply to how humans communicate with machines. We then take a brief look in NLPs, machine learning, techniques to mapping out the conversation flow, research and usability testing with bots and finally build out a fully functioning and branded chat bot.

At MICA, I teach the Design 101 course where we go through the entire design process from generative discovery, framing of opportunities and solutions, prioritizing based on user and business needs, understanding flows, wireframes, design systems and presenting work.

As a Product Design Manger, I lead design within the Online Checkout, Self Progression and Conversation UI Product Group. Within this group, I help designers and their teams on various opportunity areas and products ranging from .com to associate facing. Core responsibilities of this role are; to oversee design, help craft long-term business strategy with leadership, ensure consistency, bridge communication and align designers in different product groups, advocate for the customer, stay current and educate others on best practices in discovery and design, and facilitate workshops across the org.

I worked across and lead collaboration between multiple product teams in the online checkout (e-commerce) space. My team was driving innovation with alternate delivery options and bringing all purchase capabilities online for the customer. All while helping to evolve our design system and delivering quality and delightful experiences to our customers to meet their ever changing needs and expectations.

As a Sr. Experience Designer working at Dollar Shave Club I led large roadmap projects, led UX for the entire consumer facing e-commerce web platform, led various business innovation initiatives and helped challenge the norms of traditional e-commerce platforms. I helped craft the holistic brand experiences throughout all touch points of our subscription customers. I ideated, designed and polished new features for existing digital properties, and conceptualizing new products and digital experiences.

I was brought in as an Art Direction intern, but I worked half of the time in the creative department, and the other half with the UX team. In my short internship, I worked on multiple accounts including: Campbells Soup, BallPark Franks, Hillshire Farm, Ernst & Young, Xerox and did extensive work on 2 new business pitches.
